durian bomb

this is a durian bomb! some of u might not like the taste of durian but u gotta try dis even if u dislike it! from a old fashion coffee shop in karak ... it now has expanded its outlets across west msia ... other notable things to try are egg tarts, durian tarts, bachang (once of the most expensive i've ever had but really huge) and their noodles is quite good too :p

today marks the passing of a dear good friend.

puking binge downtown

last thursday was the most interesting experience in kl city ... i was sitting at the hawker stalls next to hong leong bank ... near beach club during lunch hour. suddenly, i went green and feeling cold sweat, next thing i know, i was puking by the roadside for almost 1 hour. i was later diagnose as having food poisoning (minor by my standards-coz i work the whole weekend after)
people were just walking pass me as if nothing extraordinary is happening ... just another drunk person puking by the roadside ... hello ppl, its lunch time, working clothes!
after visiting the doctor (my dear colleagues had to drive me round the block-wat will i do without them, they were eating lunch while i was puking next to them) ... whilst walking back to the office, i puked again (the last of the milo) - this time it was the walkway thru menara IMC ... hehehe.. don't worry i did it in a plastic bag & threw it in the bin outside menara prudential. then there was another puking session at home (no more milo just water ... colour n smell differs!)
now dis is wat i call paint the town red! (tho it wasnt quite pretty) :p

it has finally ended! 大長今 (jewel in the palace) the very long long korean drama series final episode was aired yesterday ... phew! in the end she married the guy, had a daughter & continue to save people (even performing surgery without proper tools!). happy?

Hungry Ghost festival i.e. the ghost gets a little more hungry, a little more evil tonite ... before the hell gates closes for another year. Also known as "Yue Laan", it falls on the 19th Aug 2005 (its celebrated on the 14th nite of the 7th lunar month)
i learnt that the most "dangerous" time of the day is actually in the evening when the sunsets (the yin yang wif the souls of the other world is apparently at its best) ... so don't go out! coz by tradition, at nite the lanterns / candles are lit to direct the ghosts back to their homes (where ever dat may be).

OMG!

did u know Starbucks has STOPPED giving out loyalty cards! OMG! how can they do this ... why o why?
but they r still willing to stamp on exisiting loyalty cards (so y dun they just continue to haf loyalty cards?)
since i got a buy 1 free 1 today, the nice lady decided to gimme a starbucks diary ... i want my loyalty card!

cute blur holeman! was flipping thru a magazine last friday n saw a cute holeman toy ... unfortunately its too expensive 109.90! (a bit too much la)
i wonder why it has no face ... expressionless ... the more u stare at it, the more blank u will get ... a strange experience really, altho me also occasionally haf a blank (stone) look. some resemblance u reckon?

while i was listening to shelley not too long ago ... stumbled upon another musician by the name of Az Samad (acoustic guitarist). Preview of his album was quite surprising ... original and pretty good i must say. happy listening!

sigh ... taigor still smiling like dis? (see below for story)

"keik sim lor!" winning number "1234". here's the story...
taigor was asking everyone for lucky number to buy, so i told him to buy "1234" on tuesday, 2/8/05 (repeating dis 4D number with alot of feeling and many many times). but our dear taigor uncle Pa Dei Dai Dai Lup Tong Chai Lou interpretion of "1234" is "2444" (i.e. 1 no. 2 and 3 no. 4) !
so came wednesday, 3/8/05, with so many numbers in hand dear taigor uncle DIDNT buy "1234" but he bought "2444". Guess wat's the first prize ... yes "1234"!
RM5,000 no more, jap buffet no more, free holiday no more! how how how?
(btw, i also saw "8882" on wed & special number drawn "2888" scary or wat!)

sigh ... wat's urs is urs, wat isnt will never be ... lesson learnt -> listen to me or else keik sim lor!

happy faces in London :p ... met up wif alfred, kush & hajar at bayswater for tea. will be seeing them back home soon at the end of the year!
