new Coke

coca cola is removing the "classic" from its coke labels. is this a signal to the new times of coca cola and a new recipe? coca cola fans out there should be rounding up these soon to be obsolete collectible cans for their precious collection. after so many decades, this move is pretty daring as current consumers might not respond too well to this change. the classic age and original recipe cannot be replaced. i hope the makers of coke don't make it any sweeter than it already is and no cherry berry please!

it's such bs

new ruling, new headaches but nothing's new that the govt's gone awol (a wolf on the loose) again. it's total bollocks that a co. run by ma-la-u (pronounce it slowly with a slight chinese accent) has to have a ma-la-u accountant and auditor. the dumbest dumbass ruling i've ever encountered, no wonder the country's going backwards 3 times faster then ever. i've never felt so much discrimination living here as i have after hearing this utterly ridiculous rule. worse of all we have no other choice but to comply. maybe in a couple of years this will phase out, but unfortunately the mentality of the people will never change. someone should show them the world of moving forward china, but of course, with their thick ass brain, they would never learn from the chinese. they don't even realise china has a huge muslim community that is quite liberal. they would forever be 5 years slower than everyone moving forward. so sad such is reality. note to everyone: learn from the best, always have an alternate route for yourself.

chick flicks - gg and coas

i've been following gossip girl online the past month and now waiting anxiously for the next season 2 episode 21 seder anything :) while waiting, i've decidedly dug out the rest of the gossip girl novels that i haven't got around to reading, 3 books in all to go. seems like i'm missing the black prequel book, did sis nick it home with her? anyone who loves chick flicks should absolutely watch gossip girl, it's quite addictive really and best of all its free to watch! you know you love me xoxo

confessions of a shopaholic movie was surprisingly quite funny. the story is a bit of from the book but entertaining for those wanting a no-brainer weekend. nothing surprising in terms of storyline and absolutely predictable who she will end up with. they could have gotten a younger actress with less facial lines :)

economic sizzle

I was having a conversation with 4 other people last week, they were your day-to-day working class people from the community. After 20 minutes of chit chat, it dawn to me that malaysians are very much unaware how deeply the economy has retracted locally. Our newspaper has been reporting job cuts at some factories and such, but the general public aren't aware of the retrenchments happening in other industries such as SMEs, international companies, banks, etc.
While interest rates have been cut, loans reduced or slashed, i doubt most actually know the true picture of these effects. Every store in most shopping malls are now having sale! It's just after the new year, stores don't usually conduct sales right after the festive season. Even top brands, Armani, Tods, etc are giving rebates ... unheard of phenomenon. And now, we have another mini budget of RM60billion - of how much goes to the coffers and all the mid layers in govt projects imagine the amount that actually reaches the community .. its more money thrown to some &$^%@. Have you heard how much bonus were still given out by a big glc whilst our economy is going down, it's shocking and yet the public is still oblivious.
